Has it really been over a month?

Alright, so I've been slacking on the blog, and I would blame it on being busy, but Mikey Keliher has been posting some things recently about how successful people don't complain about being busy, so I'll try to abstain. Anyway, I've been enjoying my spare time so much between hanging out with Mayzie and Lacey, playing with Lincoln, and working on the house, that I haven't thought about the blog in a while.

Mayzie is growing up so fast it makes my head spin. She's already about 13 pounds, is gaining more and more head control every day, and is starting to make a TON of cute noises... when she's happy. :)

We've had her out on more outings lately, which has been great. Our friend Eric was in town last weekend and Mayzie visited her first 5 breweries of her young life. She hasn't tried beer yet, but it's only a matter of time with us two hooligans as her parents. Mayzie has also found a new favorite toy. She's been laying on her play mat more lately, and she recently discovered a small lion that hangs from one of the supports on the side. We're not sure why, but she will stare at that thing and smile for a very long time. Indeed, she smiles at that lion much more than she smiles at her Daddy. :)

Anyway, enjoy some pictures, and hopefully my next post will come sooner than this one did!

Cute.

 Very cute.

 Still cute.

Lincoln has officially taken over one of our couch cushions.

This is the family picture Lacey put on Facebook, but I did you all the favor of cropping out Lincoln's boy business. You're welcome!

Oh yeah, we did some more work on the garden a few weeks ago too, added some boards to walk out on for weeding.

A picture from today, the garden is coming in strong!

Day 2 at home

So we made it home safely from the hospital yesterday, mostly because I decided that it was probably best to drive 10-15 mph below the speed limit and take an unnecessary amount of time at each intersection to make sure it was safe. BABY ON BOARD!!! I know it is probably not true, but I would like to think that Christina, Denise, Jimmy and I were the reason my Dad started driving like a 70 year old and never looked back. :)

Anyway, our first night at home went okay. Little Mayzie was a bit backed up (if you know what I mean) and that made her pretty fussy overnight, but she seems to be doing pretty well now. As we speak she is cuddled up on the living room chair with her Grandma, Lacey is taking a much deserved shower, and I am "working."

Anyway, I took a couple pictures of a few of my favorite things of the day and I thought I would share them.

I had to throw in a picture of Lincoln! Especially this one, maybe the best picture I've taken of him

And finally, a view of the back yard from where I'm working. I know it doesn't look pretty now, but I can't wait for spring to break so we can sit on our deck and enjoy it!
